Isus iubeste pe fiecare

Jesus loves everybody!

Wow, what a long three weeks... But by far the best yet.

For two weeks Grandma and I studied Ephesians at the Precept Ministries Center for Biblical Studies in Surduc, Romania. For these two-week training sessions ministry leaders from twelve countries in Eurasia come to study together and learn to lead studies, along with a lot of young people from all over Romania. I can't even start to tell you how much we learned - everything from doctrine to relationships to spiritual warfare. I also helped girls in my room with homework for their English class and built relationships with some of the younger girls that allowed me to encourage them in a lot of ways. I also got sick, but praise God for good health now! Please pray that this will continue for the rest of our time here.

This week I was at Surduc again with a team from Kentucky doing a basketball camp for youth. I know, I know... "But Rebecca, you don't know anything about basketball!" I kept score in the afternoons and whatever else they told me to do. Some of the youth from last the last two weeks were also there, and I was able to share my testimony with one of the girls I had spent a lot of time with. The ladies from the mission team did VBS and that was what I helped with, mostly just being friends with the kids and trying to keep them somewhat calm. We went back to the Mundial neighborhood (where the bar-turned-church is) and I was really excited to get to go back there. The kids thought my freckles were very interesting, too :) Overall the week went really well and a lot of kids accepted Christ at the camp. Pray that they will continue to network with each other from town to town, as in the words of one pastor, "This country will be reached through its young people, and they will have to work together." Also pray for the Mundial neighborhood that the people will learn what it means to be God's people and to associate that yellow building with the things of God instead of alcohol.

Tuesday we leave for Moldova for "English for New Life" camp. Please pray for safe travel and also for good health while we are there. After that it's a short break and then America or bust! Pray that we will make the most of the few weeks we have left and allow God to use us the way He wants to. Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement! I can't wait to talk to you all when I get home and tell you all the details - this is just the reader's digest condensed version of everything that has happened!

Ciao

Methinks this would make a superb novel... ;) I'm so happy for you, for the joyous journey you have experienced this summer! I hope that someday in the near future we can reunite and hear more in person. I'm making tracks to a certain beloved part of N.Ga this weekend. Wish you were there!
